Elective Internships
Elective internships are voluntary opportunities for students to enhance their theoretical knowledge and practical skills under the supervision of hospital healthcare professionals outside the mandatory study schedule.
Application Process
To apply for an elective internship at the hospital, students must:
1.Select a placement
- Choose a preferred department within the hospital and agree on a direct internship supervisor.
2.Submit an application
- Complete the application form in two copies. All parties may sign the document electronically.
- A payment confirmation document must be submitted together with the application (see point 3 of the application form).
3.Prepare required documents
- Certificate issued by the educational institution confirming student status;
- Mandatory health examination certificate (valid for 3 years from the date of issue) or medical certificate from family doctor (valid for 1 year from the date of issue).
5.Complete introductory training
- After submitting the required documents via email to prakses@aslimnica.lv, students will receive a link to the introductory training.
